Activities
If you plan to visit the area for longer than the wedding, we have gathered some ideas of places to go and things to do. The Poconos is a great destination whether you want to enjoy the outdoors, go shopping, visit a casino, or just relax. In general, check out discovernepa.com (NEPA= northeastern Pennsylvania), a website that has already curated several lists. Also, here are some of our recommendations:
Hiking
There are some nice hiking trails right at Lacawac which are open to the public from sunrise to sunset. Visit this page to learn more:

One of our favorite hikes is at Mount Wismer - there are 2 ways up, and either route rewards you with a fantastic scenic view! Learn more here:

Another option: "Devil's Hole" in Cresco, on state gamelands. A 3.1 mile out and back, there's a stream, ruins - it's very nice. Visit the NEPA page or check All Trails:

Lake Wallenpaupack
Though most of the land around the lake is private, this is a major recreational area. If you want to boat, swim, fish, picnic , hike, etc, this location offers opportunities. One link is below, but there are others. Note that you'd need to get a license if fishing is your thing.

Tobyhanna State Park
Another place to enjoy swimming, fishing, boating, hiking.
If you're into mountain biking, talk to Ted for suggestions.
Not feeling particularly outdoorsy?
In addition to the outlet stores https://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlet/pocono there is also shopping in many smaller towns, with everything from quaint country stores to candle-making, candy-making, pretzel-making, antiques - you name it!!
We've not been here, but another major draw in the area is Mount Airy. It has a casino, golf, restaurants, entertainment, etc.
